Some history about Lumar Foods
Founded on the 1st of July 2007 in Paarden Eiland, the business primarily targeted the ship chandlers and in time and by word of mouth, more and more of our old relationships required us to fulfil needs beyond that of handling.
We have thus manifested ourselves as an honest, reliable and highly motivated company, passionate about business and the needs of our clients.
The future for Lumar Foods is attractive as we have the necessary experience, infrastructure and most importantly, staff to fulfil the needs of our clients. We have a delivery fleet of 10 trucks. This fleet increases every year as the logistical needs dictate. We offer deliveries 6 days per week in central areas and we have dedicated routes supplying areas in the Helderberg, as well as extended country areas.
Our new facility allows us to hold in excess of 650 tons of various products. Our offices are modern with the latest technology being utilised to ensure our operations are running at optimal efficiency. All our staff have been in the industry for many years, further impacting positively on our ability to be the best in the business.
Through the past few years, our market has shifted, but not beyond the boundaries of our expertise. We, as a team, are all well known in our industry and are leaders in our own right. We are doing what we have done for many years and have perfected our route to market through positive attitude and effective hands-on management.
We are a Cape Town based operation with the scope to grow into a national distributor. We have a professional team in Finance, Marketing, Distribution and Warehousing, as well as Technology and Human Resources.
